Steps to cancel/surrender West Bengal digital ration card online

To surrender or cancel your West Bengal digital ration card online,

Step 1: Go to the Official Ration Card website

  1. First, go to the official website of the West Bengal Food Department at food.wb.gov.in.
  2. Once the website opens, click on the ‘Citizen’s Home’ option.
  3. Next, click on the ‘Ration Card Related Corner’ option.
  4. Next, click on the ‘Services Requiring Office Approval’ option.
  5. Next, click on the ‘Apply Online’ option.
  6. Next, click on the ‘Form 7’ option.

Step 2: Log in to the WB Digital Ration card portal

  1. Now, enter the ration card category.
  2. Next, enter the registered mobile number of your family.
  3. Next, click on the ‘Get OTP’ button. You will receive an OTP on your registered number.
  4. Next, enter the OTP in the specified field and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
  5. The home screen of the West Bengal online ration card portal will open in front of you.

Step 3: Fill up FORM-7

  1. Scroll down to the forms section and click “Apply Now” below “Apply for FORM-7”.
  2. A new page showing all the names of your family members linked with your number will open in front of you.
  3. Select the checkbox beside the name of the person whose card you want to surrender or cancel.
  4. In case you want to cancel or surrender the cards of your entire family click on “Select all”.
  5. If you want to cancel because someone passed away click on the deceased checkbox beside the name of the person.
  6. Now go to the bottom of the list and then click on “Proceed”.

Step 4: Submit FORM-7

  1. After a new page opens, click on the “I Certify” checkbox and then click on “Get OTP”.
  2. Now enter the OTP that you have received in the specified field and click on “Submit OTP”.
  3. Once you do that you will get a success notice showing that your form is successfully submitted.

Now you can log in to the West Bengal digital ration card portal any time and check the status of your application.

Step 2: Enter the ration card number

  1. Next, enter the ‘Ration Card Number’ in the specified field.
  2. Next, click on the ‘SEARCH’ button.
  3. The Ration Card details will be shown on the screen.

Step 3: Verify OTP

  1. Next, tick the consent box.
  2. Next, click on the ‘SEND OTP’ button.
  3. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter it in the specified field.
  4. Next, click on the ‘Submit OTP’ button.
  5. The details of the family will be shown on the screen.

Step 4: Surrender Ration Card

  1. Next, tick beside the name of the person whose ration card you want to surrender.
  2. Next, select the appropriate reason of surrender from the drop-down list.
  3. A new screen will appear.
  4. Next, click on the ‘Confirm’ button.
  5. Next, click on the ‘Yes’ button.
  6. The ration card will be canceled successfully.

You can download your surrender certificate by clicking on the ‘Surrender Certificate’ button.
